Amy Hunter, a professor at technology college in Utah, was giving a lecture to students when her heart stopped and she collapsed. Hunter suffers from a congenital heart abnormality called Ebstein’s malformation. Her students immediately rushed to her aid. Some called for help in nearby classrooms, and others immediately began CPR.
Remarkably, her students were able to revive her not just once, but twice! Hunter was taken to the hospital where she was put in a medically induced coma. Her condition improved rapidly thereafter, but she remains in the hospital. It has now been revealed that Hunter will need a heart transplant, and her students and family are working hard to raise funds for the operation.
But one thing is clear, Hunter is very lucky that her students were there to apply the knowledge that she gave them, which they used to save her life.
