Trevor Ballif was just in the right time at the place, he says. But others say that he’s a hero.
Ballif, a respiratory therapist, was on his way to work at the hospital when he drove by a motorcycle crash. The cyclist was lying in the middle of the road, and Ballif knew he had to do something. The victim did not respond to Ballif’s calls and started to turn blue. Ballif immediately began CPR and continued for about five minutes, when “right before EMS got there his color changed from blue to kind of white and then he pinked right up,” Ballif explained. “It was just an unbelievable feeling.”
The cyclist is in stable condition and is expected to survive.
