Two boys, aged four and six, were with their mother at a local beach in Perth, Australia, when the unthinkable happened. According to reports, the young boys lost their footing in the water because the floor of the man-made beach drops off very suddenly. Another mother noticed them struggling underwater and began yelling for help.
Bystanders did not hesitate for a moment to pull both boys out of the water. The younger child was assisted by a teacher and a midwife, who began CPR. After minutes of compressions, both vomited quite a bit of water. They were rushed to the hospital where it is said that the older boy is stable and his younger brother is in a coma, but also stable.
Witnesses of the incident praised the rescuers saying, “The people that helped the boys and performed CPR were amazing”.
