Two Rochester police officers sprang into action and as a result, the life of a 57-year old woman has been saved. Jeffrey Firman and Paul Kahrs were called to a hotel in response to a report of a woman not breathing. As soon as the officers arrived, they immediately began CPR. Five minutes later, the woman began breathing again and her heartbeat came back.
The fire department arrived shortly after and took over the scene. The woman made a full recovery.
Says Police Chief Steve Schettenhelm, “We are very proud of the life-saving efforts of the two officers and the teamwork between the police and fire departments that ensured continued medical care and quick transport to Crittenton Hospital.”
Officers Firman and Kahrs are definitely heroes, and thanks to their CPR training were able to save a woman’s life.
